The Australian Psychological Society recommended fee per 50+ minute session is $300.
1. STANDARD CONSULT
For a standard consult with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) the full session fee is $290 per 50+ minute session and is required to be paid in full. A Medicare rebate of $137.05 per session applies for up to10 sessions per calendar year. The gap/out of pocket fee is therefore $152.95 per session.
2. COURT RELATED CONSULT
For clients attending therapy for court related purposes the full session fee is $300 per 50+ minute session.
The full fee is required to be paid in full and a Medicare rebate of $137.05 per session applies for up to 10 sessions per calendar year for clients who qualify for a MHCP. The gap/out of pocket fee is therefore $162.95 per session.
3. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Private health insurance rebates may apply for Non-Medicare consultations.
A referral is not required for a private consultation.
